Hey, quick question guys.

I'm using interfolio to submit my LORs this next cycle. I plan on getting some LORs today, but I do have one confusion.

On AAMC's site, it says that I must give them a printed off sheet with my AAMC ID and Letter ID. On Interfolio's site, it says I can just hand them the interfolio printout to submit the LOR, and then I can assign those IDs at a later point.

Which is true, and what exactly do I need to hand my LOR author?

Thanks

On that site it says

"You will then be asked AAMC ID and AMCAS Letter ID found on the AMCAS Letter Request Form for each individual letter"

I guess my confusion is.. where the hell does this Letter Request form come into play? Do I have to print it off and give it to my LOR authors before they write it? Do they have to put that info in the actual letter itself? That's how AAMC makes it sound, yet Interfolio made it sound like I can just print it off months later and attach the info. I'm so friggen confused on this crap.

You will get that information once you create your application next year and create the letter entries. Don't worry anything about AMCAS right now. Just get the letter and store it on Interfolio, so follow whatever Interfolio's website tells you to do. Don't even look at AMCAS's instructions right now because you are 6 months away from even having an idea about what they are talking about

Alrighty, thanks sir.
