Math is classfied under "other science" according to AADSAS, therefore technically the LOR would be a "science LOR". However, the LOR wouldn't work if schools specifically state that it has to be from a "biology" or "chemistry" professor though.

A lot of schools will take biochem as a chem LOR Also I would consider Cacl a science - at my school it's a science.
