In the neurology FAQ, it says to have letter writers make two copies - one for the school's residency coordinator, and the other to give to you with their signature across the seal.

Is that second copy - to the applicant - essential? What do you do with it? Where do I find info on this and other neuro application nuances - in the CAS packet? (I haven't registered yet).

If anything, the sealed copy is MORE important. It is the version you send in with your CAS. The version to the residency coordinator is so that they can be included in ERAS.

Thank you! You saved me mucho embarrassment, because I was about to send out packets to letter writers with the stuff they wanted (transcript, PS, etc) and didn't know to ask them for two copies! Honestly, where do I find this stuff out? Will the "rules" be outlined in the packet I get when I register? (faxing it now!)

Is there anything I'll receive when I register (CAS stickers, etc) that is worth waiting for, before sending out LOR packets?

Thanks again!

You'll only get the stickers. I suggest you download the instruction manual for CAS and read through it! It'll save you time and make you freak out less.

Good advice. I highly recommend reading the CAS manual.

Best of Luck!
