Hi everyone,

This may be a dumb question... but when do we ask professors/dentists for LORs? I seems like people apply sometime between end of may-sep/oct so do we ask letters before we get out of school for the summer between junior and senior year? Also, if I don't know how many school I want to apply before the summer, how do I decide how many letters I ask for?

I have no clue either.

Do we "collect" LORs from instructors/employers, then decide in the end which LORs to use?

Is it protocol that a LOR should be in a sealed envelope so that I wouldn't know what's said about me in it?
