Hello everyone, I have a quick question:
How many LORs do we need? My college's pre-med advisor told me that all professors who write me one should mail it to his office and he will compile an official LOR and mail it out to AMCAS. Is that how it works?
I thought we need 2-3 LOR from professors who know us well AND a letter from the pre-med "council" (as he calls it).

He will compile one and attach the original letters and send it out. He will not send it to AMCAS, they are sent directly to each schools that you apply.

So how many letters do we need then? I was under the impression that we need 3 from people who know you well and some other ones just to help the pre-med advisor compile your letter.
What am I misunderstanding?
