does anyone know how strict the schools are upon what type of letters of recs they request? I have a few letters from different faculty but i lack some from the specific requests that some schools ask for. For example, UNC asked for 1 science prof, 1 prof in your major, and 1 doc. I only have 1 prof in major, 1 from my advisor and one from a clinician assistant. Do you think they would hold this against me and reject my application based on my letters?

i think in general schools are pretty strict on the LOR requirement. however, some schools may be more strict than others...and i can imagine they will be lenient for an applicant with a very strong gpa/dat.

to cover your bases for all schools....get a bio letter, chem letter, and maybe a letter from a math prof. also, get a dentist letter. this is what i've done and i'm pretty sure i'm covered at all schools.

good luck.
