I already have a LOR coming from my pre-health committee. I am also getting one from a dentist because my pre-health professor originally advised me to do that. However, I am now beginning to see that on none of the requirements for the schools I applied to does it say that a letter from a dentist is necessary. Two schools say that the LOR from pre-health is the minimum, so I'm not worried about that. Case in point: there are two schools that list LOR's as (1) from pre-health or (3) from science profs. Do you think it's good/bad/indifferent to send one from a dentist in addition to that?

i think it's a good thing because a dentist is what you're trying to become so a current dentist recommending a school to take you in is a great thing imo =). plus, you're going above and beyond the minimum which is a good thing too!

It would be a definite plus! If you have the chance to get a letter from a dentist then go and get it. It won't hurt.

Thanks guys. It's being sent as we speak 🙂
