LOR question

I have a meeting with a professor Tuesday and he is going to write me a LOR. This may be a stupid question but I went on the UIC website to see how LOR's work for them, and there was no form to fill out or anything and I was wondering how do LOR's work? Do I just meet with the professor and is he going to write a basic letter and just send it to the school? (I'm not applying til this coming summer..)

Don't send it to the school. You'll have to have him send it to AADSAS once you start your application (not before June 1). I had mine consolidated into one Committee LOR, and my adviser submitted it. I think it's electronic...but someone else will know better than I do.

Yes, ideally it might be good to send everything at once, but I'm not sure that the LORs are even send with your other application materials, so it may not matter. For the purposes of your question directly though, yes just have him send it into AADSAS when the application process opens.
