LOR question

Have sort of a unique LOR question. Am apply to anesthesia coming from my PGY1 year in surgery, I have one letter from an attending and one from my PD. I'm pretty sure my PD wrote a standard letter recommending me for anesthesia but probably didnt put much else seeing as its still early in the year.

With this in mind should I use a letter from a SICU attending from medical school? I know its probably much better but not sure if having my PD's approval in the form of LOR helps when im coming from surgery. Any help is appreciated.
