Hey Guys!
I'm having a bit of an issue with a LOR my supervisor wrote for me and don't necessarily trust my undergraduate institution's premed advisor, so I thought I'd turn to you guys for some advice.
Naturally, I have the typical LORs from 2 undergrad science professors and one from a non science professor who was also my research mentor ect. In addition, I also wanted to have a letter from my boss demonstrating what I've been doing with my time since graduation (teaching, and she's the Assistant Principle). However, this was her first time writing a med school letter of rec and she sent it to me instead of the premed advisor (which I forwarded on to the advisor without even thinking), making it un-confidential.
For the other three letters in my letter packet, I waived the confidentiality and haven't seen them, however, because I saw this letter now my whole letter packet has to be marked un-confidential. What I want to know from you guys is how seriously adcoms will take this and if it would be better to just not put my boss's letter in there (having 3 letters instead of 4 in the packet) so that the letter packet could be marked confidential. My premed advisor seems to think marking it un-confidential won't be a big deal- but really want a second opinion...
Thanks in advance!.
