LOR situation

I am one month away from finishing up my microbiology class. I have an A currently in the class and I want my professor to write me a LOR but my class has 10 other pre dental situations who are also planning on applying this cycle. Would it be okay for me to ask my professor for LOR before the class finishes and a final grade is posted?
