Hi All:
I have all my recommendations in place except for my DO letter, which he said would be completed by Thursday of next week (note that I asked him in September 2004...amazing). I have received and completed 3 secondary applications thus far...should I send them in with the payments as I complete them, and then, when the DO letter is ready, send the LOR packets from my pre-med office, or wait to send the apps until the LOR is in place? I realize it is only a week, but I am unsure when adcoms generally meet...all I know is they begin to meet generally in July to review.

Also, will not sending the LOR packet until, say, July 15th hurt me appreciably? The LOR issue really is out of my hands until my doc gets me the letter...

Just curious.

Ryan.

Hi Ryan,
Send the DO a prepaid mailing envelope for the LOR and ask him again if he could take a few moments to send that out for you. I would explain to him that your application is complete and that the LOR is the only thing needed for the schools to offer you an interview. You could say that you really want to get your application completed so that you don't fall behind in the application process. I would also suggest strongly, that you send in your all your stuff and telll the schools that your DO letter will be following.

You are still ahead in the game. There will still be people taking the August MCAT and wont have their applications complete till end of October. But you are correct in thinking that the sooner the better.

Good luck :luck: :luck:
