I got a letter of recommendation signed by the PA and MD I shadowed at an oncology clinic. It is very strong but has two typos. The first is a "the" in between two words where it does not belong and the second is "and" when it should be "an". They sent me a copy and I feel bad telling them since they did be a big favor in both recommending me. Is this a big deal? I feel it isn't since it still portrays me as a strong candidate. Just want some opinions.

If they sent it to you to proofread, you should correct it. If they sent it after they sent in the letter, then don't sweat it. It's more important that YOUR stuff be perfect.

I had a very strong MD/instructor letter that had typos and terrible grammar all up in its business. I received nothing by positive comments about the strength of all of my letters while on the interview trail, and I wound up with admission to several schools I adored. I highly doubt these schools held my letter writer's errors against me, and I doubt they will hold them against you.

Their error, not yours. If the letter is strong, no need to worry.
