I just received word from interfolio that my CONFIDENTIAL letter of recommendation has been received.

The dean of my school was nice enough to also send me a copy, as she was proud of what a strong letter it was. (it really was a strong letter)

Problem is, I found a typo. In one place, she put "her" instead of "his".

Should I bring this to her attention and try to get her to fix it and re-submit, or just let it be? What do you think?

It's up to you, but just from my experience, I don't think it's a big deal. I happened to see a letter of rec from a professor after all of my applications and scholarship apps were submitted. It contained several typos but was a very strong letter. As far as I know, it didn't affect my chances for anything (I received a med school acceptance and a scholarship using that letter). I think it reflects more on your letter of rec writer than it does on your app.

I'm inclined to agree with the last poster. It shows that your letter writer has a habit of reusing past letters as templates, but if it's still a strong letter otherwise, it still communicates what a letter of reference needs to communicate.

once my lor prof forgot to change the date and it dated back to 9 month from the day i was applying to a research program. I sent and email thanking him and towards the end i mentioned the error. Dont think its a big deal though.

let it go. its like rejecting a great gift b/c the box has a dent. its only in one place. what would be a problem is if it consistently suggested they confused you with someone else.
