I am currently wait listed at three schools, but about a month and a half ago I had an updated LOR from one of my activities that I wanted to send to some schools for any last ditch interviews. While I was fiddling with the AMCAS letter service, I accidentally listed the three school I am wait listed at to receive said letter as well even though 2 of them are not open to updates, when I went back to print the request form. I quickly changed that instant it to "no longer be sent" to prevent it and created a new letter request with the correct school.

Question(I'm sorry sounds a bit neurotic): Will this mishap kill my chances at getting off two of the waitlists I am currently sitting on even though I never sent anything out? Should I email the schools now to clarify, or just leave it be to prevent drawing too much attention?

If it's keeping you up at night you could probably call AMCAS and see if the letters got sent from them...

I know the letters never got sent, because I generated a completely different letter request for the letter writer and made the sure the ID was not the same. I was just wondering if it reflected poorly on me that I accidentally did something that stupid.... I mean AMCAS does notify the schools whenever a request is generated right?

Well, considering that an updated LOR probably won't affect your waitlist status either way, I would say that you are good and that you are not screwed. Do you feel better?
