Quick questions that I wasn't able to (quickly find online)

1. When is the latest date to have LOR uploaded into ERAS? I had heard the end of October.

2. If I'm still waiting on LOR as of Sept 15th, should I submitt ERAS anyway and assign the pending letters to programs?

I'm going to submit on the 15th anyway, and assign the letters. I've heard most places won't consider you complete until you have all of your letters in, but I've also heard of getting interview offers without your letters in. I figure it's better to be early and wait on a letter than be late with all letters.

When you submit, you just assign the letters even if they haven't been uploaded yet---right? And theoretically when they do get uploaded the programs will redownload and have access to them?

If you go to the LORs section, theres a link on the bottom that says "Track my LORs". It will tell you whether they have been uploaded or not.

yea man, I'm missing 1 LOR still. I just wanted to make sure that when I apply to programs next week, I assign that missing letter to the programs anyway and then when it is finally uploaded it will be sent to the residency programs

...surgeons. sigh.

ok now I'm starting to freak out.. none of my LORs are in yet.. anyone in the same boat? any tips?

1) Follow up with your letter writers, see if they need anything else from you.
2) If they already sent it to whatever office that uploads it, follow up with them.

Without being rude, be sure to poke and prod them to finish it up.

My Facebook page is littered with this same question so, no. I'd say half my class is in the same boat.
