Hi everyone,

One of the doctors that I shadowed said he was happy to write a letter for me and so I sent him my resume, etc a couple of weeks ago, which I initially wanted to be incorporated into my letter packet for my prehealth committee.
After that initial deadline passed, he wrote back saying he was away and just finally checked his email and etc and how I would like to go about it so I emailed him back to say there was still time and he can still upload! He has ghosted . it has been a week

To be clear, he is in charge of fellows and given the start of residency this month Im sure he is overwhelmed but I would still love to try and get a letter from him.
I have not sent any emails since my last one (over a week ago)
We work at the same hospital. What if I dropped by his office sometime this week? Is that too aggressive?
I have only communicated with him sparsely as to not be pushy.

Please advise my fellow SDN people

Is this a DO letter? If not, I wouldn't bother with a physician letter for MD schools.

MD only but it really wouldnt hurt to get one.
What should I do?

Many ADCOMS on SDN have said that MD letters carry little weight, if any at all. So I wouldn't bother with the letter, unless a school has a specific requirement for a physician letter.

It depends on the MD. If he or she is a chair, PD, or renowned then wait for it. I had two docs write me one and during almost my
Interviews they said how did you know Dr. blank so well (because one was VERY well known)
