Hello everyone,
I'm a US citizen IMG and will be taking a Path elective that will last from the end of August untill mid-September. I was wondering if I should wait to apply to any Path programs untill I get a Path LOR or just apply on Sept1 with my 2 non-Path LOR and submit my Path LOR at a later time? Thanks to anyone with some input!

It is my understanding that you may go ahead and submit your ERAS (the sooner the better!) and then you may submit any LOR's you obtain at a later date. Unlike AAMCAS/medical school applications, we are allowed to do this. This way you can still get a particular LOR and send it to that particular school as soon as you receive it without delaying the application review process. Better to have the selection committee start reveiwing it early!

good luck!

Thanks for the advice! Good luck to you as well!

i'm also in a similiar situation. I am taking a Path. elective during the month of 0ctober and will submit this L0R much later than the rest of my ERAS application (which i'll be submitting in September)

Is there any way for me to inform programs that there will be an L0R arriving a bit later or do they already know this and expect some people to submit them a little later?

thanks/cheers
