Two questions about LORs:
1) AAIM has recommended that this year programs require 2 LORs, one standardized letter from program director, one from a physician you worked with in a clinical setting (link below). Will programs be following this? I've seen some programs updated their websites to reflect this, but others still say they require three.
2) Looking at the IM SLOE, it has the PD say if you're a "reporter," "interpreter," "manager," or "educator." How bad would it be if they say you're a reporter? Also, how are they going to rank people on "commitment to personal growth." This seems so subjective. If you're in the bottom 1/3 for some of these, will it really hurt your application?
