Hey everyone!
So, I attend my state's university while working full time, so I do most of my courses through the school's rural/distance education program. Almost all of my courses are done online (although they do not appear as online courses on my transcript), so I'm not sure how to go about requesting LOR's from my professors. I don't feel like I've developed a personal enough relationship with any of my professors to even ask for an LOR at this point. (Even getting a response from some professors through email can be a challenge!) Luckily, I still have a quite a few upper level science courses to complete, so hopefully I can come up with some sort of solution to this issue before that time comes. I live pretty far away from my campus (over 50 miles one way -one of the reasons why I qualify for the rural education program offered at my university), so attending office hours to get to know my teachers is pretty much out of the question as of now... not to mention work hours getting in the way.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution to it? How do people who live in highly rural areas overcome these obstacles?
🙂
