Hi--Is it appropriate or required to get an LOR from work? I've had my own business for a few years so this makes it even more complicated than someone with a boss... The nature of the business (rare books) is such that I have contacts at museums/libraries and auctions houses such as Sotheby's. Would LORs from them be appropriate or needed?

Thank you for your input!

Just an amateur opinion, but being that you were your own boss I don't think you need a work LOR.

If you get some from science professors, physicians you shadow, and volunteer supervisors, that will be plenty.

I agree.
