I'm thinking about applying to both MD/PhD and MD programs this summer and am uncertain about how I should treat my LORs. Could I manage to do this without getting separate LORs?
I imagine that the straight MD programs would be looking for LORs that indicate I would make a good doctor and would do well in the medical field while MD/PhD programs would be looking for LORs that indicate I would make a good researcher.
The reason I'm applying to both is because I think the MD/PhD might be a long shot (I'm mostly interested in the MSTPs).
