When does your letter of recommendations need to be in?

Do they require the LORs to be submitted with the primary, or secondary, or before the interviews?

Thanks!

You assign your LOR to each individual school on AMCAS. You submit your secondary applications independently of AMCAS (secondary apps are coordinated by the schools).

You will need to have your secondary + LOR in at each school before they can consider you complete.

But doesn't that mean that in order to be AMCAS (primary app) verified- so that schools could send the secondaries- you need to submit the LORs with the AMCAS (primary app)?

Thanks for the help. I am sorry if these are dumb questions.

While your LORs are technically a part of your secondary applications, keep in mind that if you school has a pre-med committee, their LOR deadline may be MUCH sooner than your secondary application deadlines.

If you school has such a committee, go talk to them ASAP and get a list of their deadlines to avoid a potential headache.

Thanks URhere, but my undergrad instit. doesn't have a premed com.

Reflex, Is there more than one AMCAS app then? One as the primary application and one with the secondary when you submit the LORs?
