My school has provided zero guidance on this. Do i use FREIDA to see what programs want in terms of LORs?

Who should i be asking for them from? When should this happen?

I do have one already in FM but I am utterly lost otherwise.

Depends on the specialty. You can use FREIDA, many programs also list their requirements on their website. Many specialties are pretty similar, ie- for psych you need 2 psych and 1 FM/IM/peds.

I asked for some at the beginning of my third year, but I did notice some programs have requirements of the letters being written within the past 6 months before applying.
