hey... the LOR's from teachers... are they USUALLY, or otherwise... more BETTER if its from a COLLEGE professor?

or would they also accept like High school teachers?

If you are applying to a 6 year school, I would guess you wouldn't have any college professors to serve as references. I would check with the individial programs you are thinking of applying to if you want to know if they will accept a high school teacher's reference.

From experience, I can say that a college professor of any persuasion will typically write a stronger reference letter than a high school teacher. Professors know what ballpark you are trying to play in. And, their writing skills are generally of a higher calibur.

Typically, I guess this is true. However, my high school teacher knew me a lot longer, served as a mentor to me after HS, had a Ph.D and taught on the college level for over 10 years. I thought she was highly capable of writing the best recommendation for me.

I recommond you ckeck out pharmacy schools websites or contact them to be sure how many LOR's they need and who do they want from.

For example, the school I'm interested in says that they need total of 2 LORs; 1 from Science Professor and 1 from the current Employer. The other school wants 3 LORs, so it's really depends on each school.

So, contact the schools that you're instered in to measure how many LORs that want and from who(science prof, employer, high school teacher, etc...).
