I just got my first LOR from a dentist I interned for over the summer. It looks good, but I was just curious what other peoples LOR's were like. How long were they? How in depth, etc etc. Does anyone have like a template they follow or one from google? I cant seem to find any on google for Dental school.

I waived my right to see my letters. These are meant to be faithful statements about your propensity for dental school and the dental profession; you shouldn't be seeing/reading them, IMHO.

I haven't seen any of my LORs, don't really care what they look like. I trust my writers to do a good job; also like the idea of them not using a template and doing it their own way.

I can see where you might want a template or something similar, especially if you get a person who isn't willing to "just write it" and wants your assistance for information and format.

Are you applying this cycle, out of curiosity?

I usually do the same thing and with this one I only read it since the only time I saw it was when I asked for a second copy of it and he took it out of the envelope for me to make a copy of it.

They were more than willing to write it for me, I was just curious because I never read one before so I dont know what a good rec is or a bad rec. From what I saw it sounded really good though lol.
I should be applying this cycle however im taking a year off so I am applying in a year. hbu?
