I graduated with a 4.0 Science and a 3.86 GPA, and will be taking the MCAT next Thursday (AAMC Practice Tests ~32-37). I am from South Carolina.

My list so far in preferential Order is:
1. Wake Forest
2. MUSC
3. South Carolina
4. Florida
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11.
12.

PLEASE HELP!

Sticking with the regional theme...Miami, Emory, Duke...but come back after you get your MCAT score for a more realistic assessment. What about your ECs? If you have solid ECs and a 32+ MCAT you'll do nicely at your state schools for sure.

Some of my better ECs include:

1. Overall director of USCs Dance Marathon (Children's Miracle Network Sponsor) and worked year round to raise $112,000 for the local children's hospital. (35 hrs/wk)

2. Redesigned undergraduate orgo labs over a summer with a group of grad students. (15 hrs/wk)

3. Certified gastrointestinal tech - performed over 80 colonoscopies. Did the push, biopsies, photo-documenting, and patient interviews/discharge. (20 hrs/wk)

Very impressive ECs. Assuming they are real and you score about a 32, you're

FINE AND DANDY!!!

CONGRATULATIONS FRIEND!!!

What are some good safety schools I should apply to?

If you aren't necessarily looking to stay in your area, Jefferson, Tulane, and Loyola Chicago are all solid schools with average GPAs below yours and MCAT just below what you expect to get...
