I felt sick on my test day 🙁 So I was considered as "no-show". Now I have to re-pay another $170 to register...Does anyone know how long would it take for me to reschecule a new test date? Is it too late for this year application cycle to take the DAT in Oct? 😕 hic..hic...

You have to wait 60 or 90 days I forgot. I think it is to late for this app cycle but think positive. If you take the test in OCT you will be really really early for the next cycle.

First call AADSAS and ask to be connected to the DAT department and ask them.

If you take the exam and want to retake it you have to wait 90 days, but since you did not take the exam I think you should be fine. Call them and see if you can schedule another exam as soon as possible. You would have to pay the fee again since you did not reschedule 24hours in advance.

If they let you take it right away, you should be fine for this cycle.

you DON'T have to wait 90 days because you didn't actually take the test. You can take it as soon as you re-register for the DAT and schedule another test. This will probably take a couple of weeks at most. Call ADA to confirm.

OP: did you feel sick because you were nervous? if so, you might want to reconsider dentistry as a career...

what does getting sick or being nervous have anything to do with wanting dentistry as a career?

Exactly vaio! We all have been nervous before exams and we all have been sick, so should we stop going to school, taking exams, pursuing careers??? hm synapASS?

Thanks a lot for your comments. Will try to think positive....more time to study I guess.

I just registered again through ADA. Hopefully they will confirm in the next 2 weeks and I can reschedule my test asap sometime in Oct. "praying"

i'm just pointing out the obvious here folks -- if stress makes you too sick to take the entrance exam, then dental school might not be for you. that's it, that's all i said. howui, you might want to chill out there... 😎

I'm not so sure it is the "obvious" you are pointing out, and instead the inferred. He may just have been sick......simple as that. I have to admit that I had a pretty hard time eating the morning of my test as well. It is a pretty important test wouldn't you agree?
