Good luck guys. If you guys have any question to ask about the interview process, feel free to ask. 🙂
What should we expect for the interview?? They say we will be there until 4 in the afternoon, I have a flight scheduled for 6 back to Utah and I'm hoping that will be enough time to get to the airport, I figure it will be. What do you like about the school and what do you feel like could be improved.

These questions are for jigabodo or for anyone who has good information

That should be enough time to get to the airport. Most likely, you will get 2 interviewers, one being a D3/D4 and another from a faculty. The atmosphere should be pretty relaxing. We are really looking for people that can get along well with each other. Show a genuine interest in dentistry!
The issue that I would really like to address is probably concerning tuition, especially for OOS. Tuition has increased quite a lot over the years, and it seems like it's just the beginning. Other than that, I really don't have anything to complain about. I love our class, and to be honest I really, really didn't expect it to be THIS friendly. This is probably about as good as it can get if you are looking for a family oriented environment.

Wow, it's new to know that one of interviewers is a D student!
BTW, is it separate interviews? Or, all together at one interview event?
Two separate individual interviews. One with faculty and one with a student. The interviews are in the afternoon after the tour, presentations, and lunch. After lunch they even provide toothbrushes if you want to brush before the interviews. They call them interviews but they are more like 'visits' b/c they are so relaxed and chill.

I am still hoping for an interview to Louisville...
Hey Jigabodo, does Louisville offer in state tuition after the first year ?
No, that's why tuition is a big concern.
I'm from Chicago and I really enjoyed the Louisville interview. I got out by 3 PM and plenty of time for my 6 o'clock flight. The school was pretty sweet, and I met some real cool people.
Jigabodo, what percentage of your class received their acceptance on December 1st? My interview isnt until Dec 5th, so I'm hoping I still have shot of being accepted.
I can't give you a definite answer, but if I were to guess, probably over 50%.
Hey guys. I just had my interview yesterday. Since I am an out-of-state applicant (from California), I have got to say that I was extremely impressed by the way students and faculty respect each other, and how they welcomed me to their school as if I was part of their family. If you are thinking about Louisville for dental school, I think it would be a great experience for many people and it seems really stress-free compared to most schools I've interviewed at. I would personally go there for post-doc because I want to stay in Cali for 3-4 years with my family, depending on where I get into, but Louisville is a great out-of-state d-school.
