Thankful to have gotten into these 3 schools. In state for Ohio. Case is private and OOS for UL. Is UL worth the OOS tuition or notably a "better" school? Any insight on technology, buildings, etc. would be great. Thanks

Case's new campus is very impressive. Learning with the best and newest technology and facilities might be worth the tuition. Plus it's a great school academically, which would help if you want to specialize.

true. Is there a major difference between ULSD & OSU that is worth a 100K difference? Sorry, I just do not know much about either school

Hate to piggy back off of a post like this, but I'm not getting my responses on my own post and I see everyone favoring ULSD here so I'm hoping for some help on picking between ULSD and OSU (IS). Help with insight please.

Of course everyone is going to say OSU because it is the cheapest school, but for you which school did you feel like would best fit you? I mean money is a huge deal as well since interest will be building on the loans from the get go, but where did you feel the most comfortable? I got in to 3 schools and it took me some time to figure it out. I made a list of things that I was looking for in a school and made a pros/cons list. When it came down to it I just decided to pick one and run with the idea of attending that school hoping that if I wasn't supposed to go there that I wouldn't feel great about my decision. Ever since I decided to attend Louisville I have gotten more and more excited about the opportunities that they present there at the school. I eventually ended up choosing the cheaper school, but it can be a tough decision. I get where you're coming from. Come to Louisville!! 😉 You'll figure it out. I am sure whichever school you chose will be a good fit for you. Hope this helped a little!

With those options, definitely ULSD in every category: quality of education, cost of education, and cost of living. I don't have the best impression about Roseman after hearing my dentist here in Utah county tell me DON'T go to Roseman because of the turnover of faculty and various other negative things he's heard from his colleagues. I also hear current students always mentioning "I love Roseman BUT...". Going to ULSD will give you a very solid academic and clinical foundation. They also have some really cool research they're doing. Going to an established program like Louisville will get you out of school confident in your skills and practice ready. I was super impressed with the faculty there and thought they were just as good, if not better than most of the schools I interviewed at. Plus you won't freeze your butt off... just my 2 cents.
I'd have to second this...I am also from Utah and have heard only negative things about Roseman. There are so many dentists here in Utah that the saturation really prevents Roseman from having a decent patient base. I have also heard that they take all their tests most of their tests as a group and it's pass/no pass so nobody studies very hard. If you are looking for a easy school where you won't get much practice then Roseman is your kind of place. Personally I'd rather go anywhere else.
