Anyone know anything about the Louisville school of Dentistry in Kentucky?

Also, 2 of the schools I wanted to apply to require 2 more hours of math than what I have. I was already planning on taking a math class in the spring, but by then my application would be turned in and all. So, seeing as how I don't technically have the pre-req's is it even worth applying to those schools? Short of contacting them, does anyone have any input on this?

Worry about getting accepted then the math classes. Schools would rather you have a class that will matter like histology or biochemistry. If you get accepted and you still don't have the math classes call the school and explain what happened and they'll work something out for you.

UAB and UNC require 6 hours I believe, and I only have 4. Another school I looked at reuired 8. That would only equate to one more math class most likely. And good that I took Biochem last spring, and I'm starting Histology on Tuesday!

and, I just wanted to know if you liked Louisville, how the city was. What the school was like because I was looking at schools to replace UAB and UNC with in case they wouldn't think about accepting me without the extra math credit hours.

Louisville is a great dental school, you will have to visit the school to see it yourself. The city itself isn't the greatest place to be in the world... but hey, cities don't speak for the quality of dental school.

I like the city. Granted, the school (the medical campus, anyway) is in a fairly crummy part of town. But overall, I think the city is pretty nice. although I could do without the humidity.

Yes, although the med and dent campuses are not in the best areas of town, Louisville is a good city to live in. After the latest county-city merger, it has become the 16th largest city which in turn helps attract bigger and better entertainment things. It is also a good place to raise a family since it has very top notch schools both public and private. The only downfall is that within 5 years of living in Louisville, you will develop Ohio Valley allergies.

And who can't love have a top 10 football and basketball program.

The admissions committee at Louisville is very friendly and good to work with, probably the most communicative of all the schools I applied to. There seems to be a lot of non-traditional students that go there. But it seemed like a very good program, altough I didn't really like the city much.
