Did anyone receive love letters from UCSF? How specific were they?

I got "if you rank us number one, you will be coming."

Seems specific, but how many others got this?

i think they send that generic line to everyone.

Its not generic at all. They are ranking you to match. Unless there is a nasty surprise (which I doubt), you are headed to UCSF.

I received that same letter 4 years ago. I didn't test them on it, but another guy in my med school class received that letter, ranked them #1 and he matched UCSF.

I guess it makes sense to send that out. They rank 25 or however many to match and send them all that letter, it probably gets them one or two extra people a year who maybe had figured they wouldnt get the spot, etc.
