Hello everyone,
I got good scores on my DAT. I am looking for a low cost and OOS friendly schools. BTW, im from GA. people say that Buffalo is a good choice but I dont see how it can be. pls, I need some thoughts.

Thanks

OOS and cheap don't go together.

Expect to pay double or more.

Some schools offer you state residency after year, but I forgot which.

....?

GHSU is one of the cheapest d-schools in the country! I would consider reapplying if I didn't get in the first time!

A lot of us from UGA go to Louisville.

What are your stats looking like?

Texas. Not out-so-state friendly but definitely low cost even for out-of-staters (<$60,000 that last time I checked predents).

Yes, I agree with you. however, I would like to have another option in case I dont get accepted from MCG. I am not good with interviewing skills and I know If i dont do well, they would not accept me. I got 24 for science and 23 overall. I got 3.92 and just graduated with Biochem degree

not sure if you are trolling or lying.

With those stats, unless you showed up to the interview naked I doubt they would deny you.

you'll be fine. Put down some schools that are in a location you like. If you hate the south, put schools in the north east or the west coast on your list.

Practice your interview. Your DAT and grades will get you an interview. Your interview will get you in.

KSU offers biochem degrees....?

Or did you transfer to UGA or Tech?

Possibility of troll is higher than normal right now...

yes, they do offer that. I guess you havent been in KSU for a while. they grow so fast; now they offer master degree in biology. in the next few year, they will offer grad program.

im not lying. English is not my first language and that makes me worry abt my interview. Do u know any school that offer in state tuition after the first year?

Hey. I'm also from kennesaw!

My scores were wayy below yours but I got into ghsu eventually. Even though it took 3 tries! Although my first try shouldn't have counted lol.

Maybe because it is in Buffalo.

Augusta isn't all that better. 🙄

Depends I guess. I don't mind the cold at all. It certainly beats Southern heat. 👎

Ohio State is often overlooked. Only about a quarter of the class is OOS but if you're able to make it in, you can get in-state status after the first year. If you're married, and your spouse finds a full-time job in Ohio you can get in-state tuition ALL 4 years.

Creighton is fairly affordable and provides a solid clinical experience from what I have heard. Not a state school but a good choice nonetheless
