Hello SDN,

I am looking for some success stories. Everything I have found has been a few years old. I applied to dental school and did not receive admission. My gpa is lower 3.1 with a 19 dat. I am starting a thesis master's program. Anyone recently taken this approach and received admission? I am hoping that I do well and with a high gpa and TA hours I will gain admission. My gpa is the worst part of my application. I have extracurriculars such as volunteering, research, and prior professional experience.

I am just nervous that this will not help. Also if you had success, how many semesters did you take before applying? I will have one semester completed when the 2016 application cycle opens and I am not sure if I should apply or wait until I have at least 1 year of classes.

I did a biology MS. I had a 20 AA though and I did decided to do non thesis because the thesis has no guarantee you finish in 2 years. Make sure you take a lot of courses-- thats how you raise your overall sGPA

Thank you GAdawg94 for your reply. I am doing a Biology MS. Can you tell me when you resubmitted your ap? Were you finished with you ms (I am assuming you did a 1 year program)?
