-cGPA & sGPA = 3.35 (only a slight upward trend)
-MCAT = 34N (but 7 in verbal)
-8 months hospital volunteering (nursing unit) - 4 hrs/week
-research summer 2010 - 40 hrs/week
-6 months security monitor (work study job) - 4 hrs/week
-1 year student assistant (work study job) - 10 hrs/week
-2 years club - tech director first year, vice president second year
-2 years dance team - co-founder, captain, choreography
-volunteered in a medical camp in india over winter break - shadow physician, scrub in for surgery (orthopedic), child health care project (preventative health care) - total 100 hours
I'm in my senior year, so I can only get my GPA up to about 3.45. With that in mind, what else can I do to improve my chances and do I even have a legitimate shot at MD? Also note that I'm not very selective with where I'll end up (i.e. lower tier schools are okay, but I wanna stay in the US). I'm hoping to apply in the next cycle (submit next June), but am slightly willing to wait one more year to improve my chances.
