Long story short my GPA is a 2.97 right now. It was really high until I failed Physics 1 and Cal 1. My other science courses were doing really well until I transferred. I made a C in Organic 1 and Microbiology. I'm doing much better this semester though. I'm currently retaking Cal 1 and have a B. I've also improved my Organic 2 grade and should get an A. Basically I'm really worried about those two classes and with a year of prereqs left I'm considering changing my major because of these and other personal reasons. I just wanted to get some input and advice about what I should do. Thanks

From personal experience, I have known people who had to retake 5 classes during their undergraduate career, people who had a 2.8 GPA (got really high on PCAT though), and others who got multiple Cs in many classes (like ochem, physics, etc). And they all went through pharmacy school.

Work smarter, get help from professors/TAs/YouTube/peers, whoever. Focus on getting that GPA up, esp if you still have time. Try to minimize the personal reasons (if you can). If you can't, make sure the schools know about this when you are applying/ interviewing. They will give you a chance. Don't give up.

Don't give up, my GPA was a bit lower than yours and I got accepted to my top 2 choices. Find schools that have a minimum GPA lower than yours, score high on your PCAT especially the chemistry and bio sections and apply. You'll get in somewhere!!

Wow, thanks for the replies everyone. That definitely encouraged me quite a bit.
