Hello. I am a non-trad applicant. My GPA is excellent and my MCAT score should be pretty good; didn't get it back yet (MAY 17) but on practice AAMC was hitting mid 30's. My main weaknesses are:

1) My research is very low-end stuff; 100 hours in a biology lab with a research project on bacteria and viruses and I an author on a poster presentation which was presented at a national conference (nephrology).

2) I have taken virtually no courses in the humanities, which I know schools want to see nowadays.

Give me your thoughts please.

Hello, I would love to help but it's hard to do so without an MCAT score. Practice scores are not always indicative of the actual score, so keep that in mind while formulating your school list. Personally, I think given authorship/poster presentation, the research experience is sufficient. You should look at the MSAR to see what courses particular schools want to see on your transcript. Most schools look for a well-rounded education. Choose humanities courses that you find interesting. Have fun with it! Best of luck!
