I just retook my second DAT in this year

I got 20/19/23 and 20 (BIO/GC/OC and TS), 24 (PAT), 28 (QR) and 14 (RC)... And 21 of AA

Yes English is my second language and it always kicked my ass.

is it still acceptable for getting accepted ??

I have 3.4 OGPA and 3.3 SGPA, and I applied almost 18 different dental schools in the U.S

Your TS and AA scores are great but I am afraid the 14 in reading is below cutoffs at most schools. You will have to do some research on your own and call schools you are interested in and give your stats. How did you prepare for the reading?

Dr. Jim Romano and Nancy

I am sorry about your RC score. I understand the struggle, I got under 15 on bootcamp the other day and I am thinking what's the point of getting high science scores and good gpa if my RC is that bad.

For your sake and mine, I do hope you will get in, but in all cases, consider retaking.

Why I am suggesting you retake soon.

Listen.

Chances are:
1) some schools will be interested but they will tell you hey if you retake and get more than 16 on RC, we will consider you.
2) or you'll get waitlisted and if you send them your new dat with a higher RC, you get accepted
or (hopefully, this won't happen)
3) none will be interested and you'll have to retake anyway.

So, retake is a must.
And this time, I advise you to read scientific books and scientific journals and magazines 3-4 hours a day! I am serious! Consider joining a speed reading training.

Honestly, you don't know me, before the Dat, I used to read novels 3 hours a day and read news all the time. I don't know why I am doing this bad on RC, but my only excuse is like you I am a non-native speaker!

By the way, very nice scores!
So, what happened on RC? what was your strategy?

I think the 14 RC is definitely going to hold you back at most schools - I would contact the 18 schools you applied to, explain your situation, and ask if your application is still likely to receive consideration.

As I said, English is my second language
There is no issue to read and analyse but takes longer time than anyone /:

Did you prepare for the RC section at all? Did you take Ari's advice and read Science American articles?

Pretty sure Dr. Romano and Nancy were asking about how you prepared for the RC section...
