I just retook my DAT today and unfortunately, I got 15 RC. My other sections are PAT 23, 21ST, 21 QR and 20AA. I am so stress out right now and need some suggestion. I tried very hard on RC and RC 100% is my weakest part that I can't improve. Need some suggestion on application and will this score get accepted? Also, my GPA is 3.75 for both.

DAT bootcamp got me my 22 on RC. They guide you through a handful of different tactics you can use but you have to find out for yourself, through trial and error, which one is best for you. Most of my questions on the RC section of the actual DAT were fact-based so I was able to use the "search and destroy" method. I always hear that any section below a 17 merits a retake but considering your great GPA and other DAT scores, I'd personally be surprised if schools overlooked you. Good luck!

Yeah I am using S&D from bootcamp, but I feel like I dont have enough time. Thank u!

I would probably apply to as many schools as I could that do not have a cutoff for DAT or specifically RC scores. I know some schools really like RC scores and I'm sure a few don't put too much weight in it. You have above average GPA and an average DAT score, so I think you have a solid chance. Applying is like playing the lottery - the more tickets you buy, the better the chance you have to win and having an above average GPA is like buying some of the pricier lotto tickets with one of those guaranteed winner every 10 tickets.

If you retake, my personal opinion on this (got a 25 on RC) is to do a few practice tests and be honest with yourself. You know your strengths. Are you good at search and destroy? Do you need to read every word? Also, don't stress about it. My opinion is that the RC serves two purposes: one is that your efficient at scanning through dense scientific material that you may know nothing about and pull out the meaningful stuff in a short time period (as you won't have enough time to read EVERYTHING in dental school) and two it's a mental thing. The RC is toward the end of the DAT - after a long grueling test that you've been prepping several weeks in advance for. Trust your preparation and have confidence going into RC. Trust your instinct and first answer.

Thank you very much on your suggestion, but I feel like this is the part that I can't improve in short amount of time. I always hope to find a method that works for me.
