Does anyone know what the lowest GPA ever accepted into DO school is.... I have a 2.7 and im looking at a 32-35 on my MCAT and thats why i'm extremely worried....

Go to mdapplicants.com they have profiles you can search to see what people are getting in with.

If you pull an MCAT in that range, then hats off to you and that will greatly increase your chances. However, if your GPA holds you from being accepted, I would recommend an SMP, which only takes one year and will put you in a much better position to be accepted.

The key for you will be to take perhaps up to 12 credits in mid-upper level science courses. Get A's, and the past will become the past.

You don't need a 32 to get in with a 2.7. You've heard it time and time again that it's your overall picture they look at.
BTW, my MCAT TA was a first year at UPenn and he said he applied with a 2.0.

Riiiiight. That's why DO schools are interviewing and accepting people without having read their LORs or anything.

Don't forget AACOMAS. It's not without it's information. Also, you will not get an acceptance anywhere (other than perhaps WVCOM) w/out LORs etc.

Did you get a hard on when you received a supplemental "invite" from your MD schools?? Don't jump the gun when you don't quite know what it is that you're talking about.

Please look at the individual school listing on AACOM website. They list minimum requirements for secondary applications. With a 2.7 GPA (not sure if that's just science or overall), you might not even qualify for a secondary application at some of the DO schools, even if your MCAT is > 30.

Also be aware that a sub 3.0 GPA means you are below the mean GPA of applicants who are applying - and a high MCAT might not help you as much as you think. However, I'm not saying that you cannot get in, just that the odds are against you (as I'm sure there are plenty of anecdotal examples of people w/ a sub 3.0 GPA getting admitted). Remember, MCAT is just a 1 day test while GPA measures your performance for the last 3-4+ years (or more). This factor is taken into account by admission committee.

P.S. Also, can it be inferred from your first post that you just took the August MCAT and don't know what your actual score is?
