What's the lowest GPA anyone's heard of being accepted? I've heard stories of 2.8, but I don't know...must have had something REALLY great if it's true!

I heard of someone with a 2.9 undergrad getting in. He was the head dairy manager at a facility for about 3 years with tons of large animal experience. I also known that when he finished vet school his class rank was #9.

Western accepted a candidate with a 2.6 last year.

At this point Western is probably one of the most flexible on this. I know of a couple of people who were right at 3.0 and were accepted there.

The GPA thing with Western is because the interview everyone that makes the cutt off for GPA and GRE. From there they choose the class (with no residency preference).

I've known several peolple get in with around 2.9-3.0 ... they were all in-state residents to the schools they were accepted into.

I've heard (2nd hand) of some as low as 2.7, but I would imagine this to be EXTREMELY rare and by no means the norm. I assume they likely had a graduate degree with great grad grades, publications, etc.??

i met some w/ a 2.6/2.8 going into Davis

A friend of mine got into Tufts with a 2.9 GPA from Brown. He alright on his GRE. He said he was the only student in vet school whose vet school GPA was higher than undergrad.
