A friend of mine goes to his state school and told me that there is a guy that got in with a 22 on his MCAT. He said that the guy is really smart and had a really high GPA in undergrad. The guy is also nontraditional and worked as a paramedic before coming to medical school. He also said that this guy is kicking butt on every exam and is probably in the top 2% of the class. It goes to show that the MCAT is not necessarily an indication of how well one will perform in medical school.
