What are the lowest MCAT scores for applicants who got into Texas College of Osteopathic medicine?

Apply and get an interview first. The average MCAT score last year was 28. You can pretty much make some intelligent guesses about the score range from there. It is just as competitive to get in there as some Texas MD schools. Best of Luck.

mdapplicants is somewhat self selective.
TCOM has a very good reputation and is a pretty competative school in TX.
I am going to venture to guess that it might have a big range of scores. This is only because UTHSCSA (with a similar average) has a range of like 20 and up with an average of something like 27 or 28.
Going by what is their lowest or saying that you have their average thus your a shoe in sort of deal is really no good. Med schools have something in their heads when they are looking at applicants and really (as others have said) your best shot is to just apply and see what happens.

Also,
I've heard it said a couple of times that interviewers try to ask themselves if they'd like the person they are interviewing to be their doctor and that's how they judge the person.

I just had an interview at TCOM and they stated that the incoming 2006 class had an average MCAT of 27. Gpa is about the same at about 3.53ish. It's possible that the standard deviation was 3 or 4 points.

Good luck. :luck:

I don't know, but I was rejected with a 28/3.4.

I am a Texas resident.

No no, I wasn't asking to try and find out why you didn't get into TCOM. I have a 3.41CUM 3.72BCP and I am anticipating getting between 27-31 on the MCAT. See, you have given me hope that I have a chance at OSUCOM as an out of stater.

*Please note that I have SOME (not alot) of grade replacement in the above GPAs. My MD GPA would be approximately 0.2 lower, but I have decided not to even bother applying MD this year (I was debating on applying to my state schools for the cheap tuition).

Thanks for the reply OSUdoc08!

I don't think it's pragmatic to "anticipate" an MCAT score, but I hope you get it anyway!

My practice MCAT scores have gone up every test with the exception of practice test #8 (27). My last four tests have been between 27-31 (6R,7,8,9). I took all four of these tests with time limits and standard length breaks. Sure anything can happen come test day, but I doubt my score will deviate significantly.

BTW, thanks for your hope! 👍

My actual April MCAT score was 5 points lower than my final practice exam score (the highest of all practice exams), so don't depend on that value.

Fortunately, I retook the MCAT in August a recieved a 4 point increase in score.
