Anyone have some info on the OMFS program at Loyola?

Here are a couple things I've heard:
1) May have had accreditation troubles in the past
2) Program director (Dr. Ads) stepped down, no replacement yet

Could anyone in the know shed some light? Specifically why they've had so many program director changes recently....

I am a current third year resident at Loyola and am happy to answer any questions about our program. 1) we have never had accredidation issues in the past. Our most recent site visit was in May 2009 and we passed without question. 2) Dr. Ads stepped down as the program director to take on a part-time faculty position. He had ambition to expand his horizons into the private practice world 2 days a week. He still has 2 full clinic days a week and a block OR time full day weds. Currently, Dr. Mark Steinberg is the interim program director and has commited himself to that position until we find a permanent replacement. Dr. Steinberg has served many positions throughout AAOMS, well published and several book chapters. He was also the previous chair of our department before he left for private practice in 2006. At this point we have interviewed several people for the position and look to be hiring a replacement soon. There have only been 3 program directors since the founding of this program. Dr. Mark Steinberg 93-06; Dr. Ronald Guttu (temp) 06-07; Dr. Hussain Ads '07-11. Dr. Guttu was a temporary PD that I believe was "asked to leave". Dr. Ads continues to work closely with the residents 3 days a week but chose to step down so that he could have a private practice position as well as academic.

If you have any other q's , I am more than happy to set the record straight
