Has anyone externed or interviewed at the MUSC OMFS program recently? I’m trying to find out some more information about the program. Ik it’s a 4 yr in Charleston but I’d like to know info about the scope of practice, case numbers, resident culture etc. Thanks for any help!

I externed awhile back. Pretty much the same scope as VCU, Iowa, Cincinnati. Maybe a little more craniofacial now that they have a craniofacial trained surgeon.

Can you expand on the same scope as those programs? I think those are very broad scope, well respected programs?

Pretty much traditional scope which means good dentoalveolar, orthagnathics, TMJ stuff, cleft alveolus, benign path, maybe a little craniofacial stuff, maybe a little plastics, some distractions, trauma, no malignant path.
