I am using my husbands handle - but i attend Loyola Medical school. To answer the second question first, no, the catholic background is definitely not too oppressive. In fact, they celebrate every religion; they make a point not to stress Catholicism. The school is more geared towards the theory of treating more than the disease, but the whole person as well. Our studies for the first two years are basically small-group studies. The testing schedule is rather frequent with a test every 3 weeks - this is the only thing that can get draining. some view this testing schedule as a positive, some a negative. The school was recently rebuilt - everything is brand new. For other perks, the gym there is amazing! as far as the rotations go, they are like any other school really. even though i am a second year, i haven't found much different except that our surgical rotation is 12 weeks long (this is about 4 weeks longer than others). Hope this helps some - good luck!
