LSU, why so cheap?

Anybody know why LSU has such an inexpensive tuition and not many applicants? (according to predents.com) Am I missing something?

Both are answered by the fact that it's state subsidized, and mostly accepts only LA residents.

They accept 51 in state (I think) 5 Arkansas residents and then 5 out of state. Which also depends on how competitive those out of staters are: The dean told me sometimes they admit another 5 in-state residents if out of state (not counting Arkansas) are not as qualified as LA residents. 🙁 I would love to go there though?!!! Maybe this cycle!!!

They stay under the radar because they are too busy spitting on visitors and drooling over egotistical sports programs.
