Does anybody have any insight regarding this program? I have an acceptance elsewhere but am considering this since it is a guaranteed acceptance and this was in my top 3 choices. My only acceptance is from Burrell and I am from Pennsylvania.. NYITCOM matches much better into the Northeast, would it be worth putting off medical school for another year

i would weigh out the cost of attendance for each. you'll be missing out on 1 year of attending salary, so will the cost difference offset that at least a significant amount?

Nothing is guaranteed until you have that acceptance in hand. I would also be quite surprised if NYIT would take you knowing you already had acceptance to other DO schools previously. The general consensus once you have an acceptance on hand is to NOT reapply as schools view such re-applicant who had prior acceptance very unfavorably. NYIT matches better in Northeast because it's located in Northeast. Coming from a lesser known school may hinder you slightly but not to the degree you'd think, and DO schools are essentially regarded very similarly for residency application except for a select few.

i dont know about how true the guarantee is at NYIT but i was assuming it was 100% based on OP's post. if there's any chance you lose the guarantee, then yeah take the A. based on what i know about NYIT cost, i can't imagine it would be cheaper than Burrell in the long run even without the extra year at NYIT, let alone with it.
