I recently planned to get started as a Medical Assistant at a derm office at the beginning of September. I thought I had good chances due to the responses of interviewers but sadly was just notified that I would not be working. I am currently volunteering at my local hospital, but want to consider applying for paid clinical experience as a medical assistant or scribe. At this point in the year, should I still consider looking for these jobs? I have no current certifications and currently applying this cycle.

Did you already have experience in a clinical setting? (If so, remind us what you listed on your applications.)
Yes, I volunteered a couple years ago at the same hospital for about 200 hours and went on two medical mission trips. I wanted to get a ma or another clinical job because I wanted different experiene/training. At this point, I am considering continuing to volunteer at the hospital while I go through the cycle. I also have around 150 hours shadowing experience with various physicians.
