I am considering going back to school and am having difficulties deciding what route to take. I currently work in the humanitarian aid sector (I have a Master of International Law). However, lately I have been interested in designing and implementing psychosocial programs for youth. I really have no intention to counsel people (not now anyway) but hope to find a degree that would be translatable in the US (working with refugees at home) and abroad.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what degree might be best and perhaps earn a little more money?

Thanks!

Its sounds to me like the MSW is best for your goals. A masters in clinical psych will focus on empirical research, psychopathology, psychometric assessment, and psychotherapy. You don't sound interested in any of these things.

I agree with Erg. An MSW sounds like the direction you want to go, without the psychometric stuff that you aren't interested in.
